AYF exists to meet youth where they are in their spiritual walk, to encourage them to grow in their relationship with God, equipping them to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ
More specifically:
AYF exists to “present everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28-29) by:
Proclaiming Jesus Christ
This is done by:
1- Praising God with all our heart, telling of His wonders and singing praise to His name (Psalm 9:1-2)
2- Being people of prayer with gratitude and expectancy (1 Thess.5:17) (Matt. 6:5-13) (Phil. 4:6)
3- Intentionally seeking lost people and sharing Jesus Christ with them. (Matt. 28:19-20)
4- Following the example of Jesus Christ by cultivating hearts of service. (Matt. 20:28)
5- Sharing life together within smaller groups through interaction with the Bible, prayer for each other, serving together and cultivating an atmosphere of love at all levels. (Acts 2:42) (John 13:24-25)

Admonishing & teaching everyone with all wisdom
This is done by:
1- Regarding the Bible as “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” We uphold it as the only rule for Christian life. (2 Timothy 3:16) (1 Peter 1:20-21)
2- Teaching God’s Word carefully at all times. (2 Timothy 4:1-2)
3- Providing a safe environment where we have genuine caring relationships with one another that promote and protect unity. (Psalm 133:1)
4- By equipping students in different levels of ministry. This is done in both in our ministry teams (task oriented) and a student leadership team (servant oriented) Students are intentionally given the tools to minister to those in the group and outside of the group.
5- Creating an environment where a deeper love for Jesus is encouraged through expressions of love to God and to each other. (John 13:24-25)
Struggling with all His energy, which so powerfully works in me.
This is done by:
1- Recognizing that apart from Jesus Christ, we can do nothing. (John 15:5)
2- Doing the hard work of ministry by constantly abiding in His strength and His energy to transform lives through His word and draw people to Himself. (Colossians 1:29)
3- Faithfulness to God’s call because if God is for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31)
4- Walking in step with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25)
