Be like Honey – Teaching Recap from Friday

Some people have asked about posting things from the lesson on Friday night, so I have done that on my blog.  I have condensed it and made it a document you could read and then use.  I hope it is useful to you.  The main thrust of this week’s message was about relationships and finding some healing within them by applying God’s wisdom to them.  You can find it be clicking –> here.

Youth Group Friday, May 25, 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Peer pressure, or peer fear, is a very real concern for teenagers.  There are many competing voices, but only one right one.  How do you decipher the difference?  How do you face the challenge of living a life for Christ in the midst of a ever evolving youth culture?  This week we will be in Proverbs 25 and look at how we live in the face of peer pressure.

“Like a muddied spring or polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.” Proverbs 25:26   -

We also will be hearing a story about a 4 year old boy who God use to plant a church in Africa.  6:30-9:00 p.m. – 6th – 12th graders

Youth Group Friday, May 18th, 6:30-9:00 p.m.

As we have worked out way through Proverbs, we have seen that what we do in life determines the path we are on.  In other words, the choices we make lead to a specific location.  Therefore, we need to ask ourselves if where we are headed is where we should be headed.

This Friday we continue with Proverbs 24.  This week will focus on wisdom as it relates to other people, especially as it relates to conflict and people you might encounter who are opposed to God.

We also look forward to live music from our group of musicians set up for Youth Sunday and also we hope to be outside for another game this week.
