Youth Ministry Upcoming Events

May begins tomorrow and that means that summer is approaching.  It also means that I need to communicate a few important things that are coming up in May.

Tuesday – May 1st (tomorrow) - Jam Session at the church 6:30-8:00 p.m. — All musicians, at all levels, are encouraged to come and play.  Nathan, our youth ministry intern, will be leading this time.  Let him know if you are coming, if you haven’t told him that already.   There will be a rehearsal for Youth Sunday music on May 14th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. – (more on that at the Jam Session)

Youth Sunday - May 20th — both worship services that day wil be lead by our youth.  We will be getting people lined up for that soon.

Calendar -  The May calendar is online at http://ccbacyouth.wordpress.com

Supper Club - May 21st is out next Supper Club date.

Guys/Girls Upcoming Event -  Guys will be having their annual campout in Nickerson State Park June 1st- 3rd.  Information about that will be posted in the coming week on the website.  Girls will be having a pizza and movie night at the church on June 1st starting at 6 p.m.

Summer -  The sign-up for Back Yard Blow Outs will be out in the middle of May.  The dates this year are: June 22nd, June 29th, July 6th, July 13th, July 20th, August 3, and then August 10th at our house for the finale. So, any date except August 10th is available, if you are interested in hosting one at your house this summer.

ENter -  Middle School Students should consider being involved with ENter this summer.  ENter is a middle school conference for New England at Eastern Nazarene College.  It is being put together by our group of Alliance Youth Pastors.  Information is posted on the website.  Please ask if you have question.  The dates for this will be July 30th- August 3rd.  We will be serving the community and also hearing from a speaker, bringing in a band and playing some large games.  It will be an awesome week.  Cost: $275 per person – All included.  Sign-up on the website by June 3rd.   We will have a meeting before the trip to explain all the details of it.  Go here–> http://wp.me/PnCDx-A1  for more information.

LIFE 2013- Renew-   I know it seems like a long time from now, but the next Life Conference will be July 9th – 13th of 2013 in St. Louis.  Anyone who is entering High School in the fall of 2013 or anyone who is exiting High School in June of 2013 is eligible to go.  This conference is only every 3 years, so don’t miss your chance.  This summer we will start to make the push to get people signed up to go.  We do that because registration starts August 1st, which allows us to get a reduced rate and choose the prime housing locations.    Be watching for more on that and start saving up for it.   You can like the LIFE 2013 Facebook page to stay connected to their preparations https://www.facebook.com/life2013

Speaking of Facebook, have you liked the youth ministry page yet?  If not, please do that as well. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cape-Cod-Bible-Alliance-Youth/293482540704394

That is all for today.  I hope you have a great week.  Remember, there is no youth group this Friday because of the Kid’s Night finale.  We will be back on May 11th.

Enter 2012 – Middle School Conference

The information about this summer’s Middle School Conference, Enter is now on its own page here.  (Click here)

This is for anyone currently in 6th – 8th grade.  It takes place on a Monday- Friday, July 30th – August 3rd.  The purpose of this is to allow any middle school student, no matter where they are spiritually, to come, serve and grow in their faith.  The Enter page has more information about that.  This is a service oriented trip with a speaker, band and large group activities.

This is an event for the New England District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  So, we are expecting a couple hundred 6th – 8th graders from across New England.   Let Pastor Derek know if you have questions.
